Minty Lemon Creamy Smoothie

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER SMOOTHIE :)

This one will surprise you, if you like the mint. And if you add more dark chocolate or cocoa you will be closer to “After Eight’s“ flavour.

Speaking of smoothies I wanted here to break down a smoothie pattern I often use in order to show the role of every ingredient I use and why I use it :)

  • CEREALS, BANANAS, SWEET POTATOES - STARCH - TEXTURE AND THICKNESS

  • NUTS AND SEEDS - PROTEINS AND FATS - NUTRITIONAL VALUE AND TASTE

  • AVOCADO AND NUTS AND COCOA BUTTERS - FATS - MORE TASTE, GLOSS

  • DRIED FRUITS, HONEY, MAPLE SYRUP - SWEETENER

  • THE LIQUID - THICKNESS - DRINK IT OR EAT IT :)

  • THE FLAVOURS - VARIOUS INGREDIENTS IN SMALL QUANTITIES

  • INGREDIENTS PEOPLE DON’T EXPECT - THE SURPRISE

  • THE SPARK - THE SMILE IN THE FIRST SPOON :)

Keep in mind :)

A smoothie is an homogenous mass meal so you have to like it completely from the first spoon (you can’t pick just the things you like), so you want it very yummy.

INGREDIENTS:

  • THE CEREALS

  • Good quality oat flakes - 50 grams

  • THE PROTEINS AND FATS

  • Good quality / Organic cashew - 20 grams

  • Good quality / Organic avocado - 1/2 pcs

  • THE SWEETENERS

  • Good quality / Organic dried dates - 30 grams

  • THE LIQUID

  • Good quality / Organic rice drink - 150 ml

  • THE FLAVOUR

  • Good quality fresh mint leaves - 5 grams

  • THE SURPRISE

  • Good quality / Organic grated dark chocolate - 15 grams

  • THE SPARK

  • Good quality / Fresh lemon juice  - 1 tbsp

THE SMOOTHIE

Put all the ingredients except the chocolate in a powerful blender and mix well between 30 seconds and 1 minute to obtain a creamy smoothie. Transfer the smoothie in a cup, glass or bowl then sprinkle the grated chocolate over the top.
