September Peach Smoothie
Probably peaches aren’t your “go to fruit” when you are thinking to a smoothie. But it is September and the local market is loaded with season peaches, so why not try a peach smoothie ?They have a delicate flavour that can easily be overpowered by other ingredients that’s why it s important to use mild flavoured ingredients if you want peaches to play the main role. Let’s give it a try.
Cashew, for the healthy fats, proteins and a neutral flavour. Almonds, same story and a touch of bitterness… Cinnamon, for a peach pie feeling and honey for some extra sweetness if needed.
Blend all ingredients at medium speed for about 1 minute.
INGREDIENTS - for two medium portions
Organic or “Best you can get” !
Peaches - 200 grams without the pits
Raw cashew - about 15 grams
Raw almonds - about 10 grams
Rice drink with almonds - 150 ml
Oat flakes - 15 grams
Bananas - about 150 grams or one medium banana
Honey - 1 tea spoon - optional
A dust of cinnamon powder
